# Rows

## Configuring Rows in Tables

When editing rows in the report editor, three additional sections become available:

1. **Rows:** \
 Define the GL accounts or metrics to display (for example, accounts from the Profit and Loss, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, or Metrics sections).
2. **Dynamic Additions:** \
 Add extra metrics or GL accounts not currently included in the report. These additional items are inserted after existing GL accounts within the predefined hierarchy.
3. **Dynamic Overrides:** \
 Adjust the initial display levels of your accounts. For instance, you can set the revenue folder to expand automatically so that all its components are revealed without manual intervention.

### Adding a New Base Account

* Click the plus sign and select Add New Row.
* Choose the type and the specific account or metric you wish to display.

The available types determine how account levels expand when the report is opened:

* **Summary of:** \
 Expands to the lowest subfolder level without displaying the individual GL accounts within those subfolders.
* **Children of:** \
 Displays only the accounts or subfolders one level below the selected account. For example, for a top-level P\&L account, it might show subfolders such as "Profit Before Taxes" and "Taxes."
* **Descendants of:** \
 Expands to show all levels down to the individual GL accounts, including all subfolders and their details.
* **Single Row:** \
 Displays only the selected account line without expanding any sublevels.
