# Dashboards

**Dashboards** provide a comprehensive view by combining tables, graphs, KPI tiles, and notes on a single screen. To add new visuals, click the plus sign and choose between **Notes** and **KPI**.

* **Notes:**
  * Enter text directly into the dashboard.
  * You can include the reporting period in your note for monthly updates, which are saved separately for each period.
  * Enable the **Shared** functionality to link notes across different pages by assigning them the same shared key. For example, if you assign the shared key "3" to a note in the Profit and Loss report and another in the Balance Sheet report, they will be connected for consistency and easy reference.
* **KPI Tiles:**
  * Display the value of a single GL account or subfolder for a specific period.
  * Configure time aggregation settings (View, Year, Period) and select the desired category (e.g., actuals, budget, or forecast).
  * Optionally, reference the KPI value against a target (such as budget, forecast, previous year, or prior period).
  * Support small visuals, like trendlines or bar charts, which can be customized by adjusting the axes and series within the tile settings.

Once created, visuals appear on your dashboard. Reposition items by hovering over them and dragging from the top-left corner of the tile. You can resize tiles by dragging their bottom-right corner to fit your preferred layout.
