# Adding Business Dimensions to reports

Once business dimensions are enabled for an entity, you can incorporate them into your reports in two ways: per report card and per column set or individual columns.

### **Per Report Card**

* **Global Setting:**\
  The business dimension defined in the "Context" part of the report configurator applies to all column sets within the card.
* **Picker Option:**\
  You can either select a single business dimension for the entire card or enable a picker at the top of the screen, allowing you to switch between different business dimensions while viewing your reports.

### **Per Column Set and Individual Columns**

* **Individual Column:**\
  You also have the option to specify the business dimension for individual columns. For more details on how to configure this, please refer to the Manual Input Manual.
* **Example:**\
  Imagine a report where all cost centers are displayed side by side, along with a total column that aggregates the values. This layout allows you to easily compare and monitor each cost center.

These options provide flexibility in integrating business dimensions into your reporting, enabling you to tailor the display to your specific needs.

### **Important Restriction**

* **Single Business Dimension:**\
  In Smartbooks, you can only use one business dimension at a time, either Cost Units or Cost Centers, but not both simultaneously. You can switch between these options on the Integrations page.
