# Referencing Subaccounts

When you need to reference subaccounts outside of a module, you must include the module argument in your functions. For instance, to reference an account from the FTE module, you would write:

```
Account("Sal.Dir.Sal", module = "FTE")
```

The specific codes for referencing accounts can be found under the "Preview" button at the top of the module screen. Copy the portion before the period, which separates the subaccount code from the subaccount description.

Alternatively, use the Formula Editor to enter these formulas. Simply select the desired module and then choose the account from that module. This method streamlines the process of linking module accounts to your overall financial model.
