# Max() and Min()

These functions evaluate a list of numeric arguments and return the highest or lowest value, respectively.&#x20;

* Max(): \
  Example with hard-coded numbers: \
  Max(3, 0, 1, 5) \
  This returns 5. \
  Example with account references: \
  Max(Account("{account\_X}", year = "YYYY"), Account("{account\_X}", year = "YYYY"))&#x20;
* Min(): \
  Example with hard-coded numbers: \
  Min(3, 0, 1, 5) \
  This returns 0. \
  Example with account references: \
  Min(Account("{account\_X}", year = "YYYY"), Account("{account\_X}", year = "YYYY"))&#x20;
